Please be advised that the Mayor's Annexation Program Advisory Committee met on Dec. 1, 2004. They don't advertise that these 3 meetings will be open to the public to attend and comment on annexation, what is discussed, etc.
IMPORTANT! Please try to attend and give them your opinions. The next meetings are:
Thur. Dec. 9th at 4pm at Fort Worth Convention Center - Room 103A
Wed. Jan. 19th, 2005
Park in lot on West side of Convention Center and tell parking attendant you are going to city meeting.
- Dec. 13 City Council receives briefing
- Dec. 17 City Planning Commission is briefed
* * * Jan. 15 - CAFA Meeting - BE THERE - all of Texas is invited. * * *
We will hold an election and talk about going to Austin in Feb. or March to testify for State Rep. Anna Mowery's bill that gives Texans a vote on annexation.
- Jan. 18 at 10am - County Commissioners Court is briefed on annexation plan (100 E Weatherford, Ft. Worth) Please come!
- Jan. 26- City Planning Commission holds PUBLIC HEARING on Annexation Plan
- Feb. 8 - City Council holds PUBLIC HEARING Please come!
- Feb. 15 - City Council discusses PUBLIC HEARING comments with staff
- Feb. 22 - City Council adopts 2005 Comprehensive Plan, which contains Annexation Plan. Please come!
I will add to this and give times and locations. MARK YOUR CALENDARS! Meet with neighbors and come to as many of these public meetings as possible! There is strength in numbers - so do your part and encourage your neighbors, too! I'm on the Advisory Committee, but I can't do it alone.
